Hi folks

Still loving the new purchase but just have one minor complaint.

I have a small wrist that requires 3 links to be removed from a full oyster bracelet (12 links). The problem is, my Explorer bracelet only let's me remove 1 link on the 6 o'clock side, meaning I have to take 2 from the 12 o'clock side.

This drags the watch face off-centre towards the 12 o'clock side.

Ideally, I would like to take 2 from the bottom and 1 from the top.

Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions (besides hitting the gym)?

Flip the bracelet around so that the clasp opener is away from you...

Sounds silly but it works. Might have to move one link but when you're done it will set in the middle.

Go ahead and try it.

Wow, you're right. I just flipped my watch around and wore it upside down to try it (rather than taking the bracelet off). Fits nicely that way.

Hmm only problem now would be trying to get used to having the clasp open the other way and the coronet upside down...

We went round on this issue a bout a week ago and determined that the reason it works is in fact....magic.

You get used to the backward clasp much faster than the off center watch.

Any RSC or competent AD can remove a permanent link from the 6 0'clock side of the bracelet. This will center the clasp on your wrist. The RSC will shave down the link above the one removed to match the angles correctly. This is the same for the bracelets on the Sub, SD and ND Sub.

And then you will be unable to sell your watch as original. I have seen such mdified watches languish for mnths on the sales boards without a nibble. Dont.

Did you fully tighten the micro pin adjustment on the clasp? That makes a world of difference and I hadn't thought about it for like 3 months after I bought mine

Yeah I tried that but the micro adjustment only shortens the wrong side even more. The only proper solutions appears to be removing a permanent link or wearing the watch a tad loose. I don't want to do either.

I did find another solution while I was playing with the clasp however. I put my Exp 1 on a black crocodile strap... looks great and wears even better. Although I'm sure I'll want the oyster bracelet back on soon enough.

My jubilee was a little odd like that too. Its was too tight without the two extra links, too tight with one of the extra links, and too loose with both of them. What I ended up doing is adding both links (so, all the links the watch came with) and then adjusted the micro-pin in. It made just that little bit of size difference an now the DJ fits PERFECTLY. Good luck

Since you're in Australia, where everything is already upside down, it should be correct......finally!
