292

Have an opportunity to pick up a 292 without pig for 8000 from authorized dealer. Should I jump on it? I shouldn't expect a discount right? How about a free band? Thanks

Get it. if the AD is in L.A. there is no reason to expect a discount. Assuming you get it, which AD is it? (not going to call just curious).

Spoke to the BHB today and they said that Panerai was been sending more lately, they get about 5 a month. Still a tough watch to find, but I don;t think there is quite the feeding freenzy on them as there was a year or so ago.

yes, MSRP is 8000. I am going to get it. I got a croc band and 100 discount. I have the money but wasn't looking to get a watch now, but what the heck! Here goes 292! It is from an AD in Maui.

Nice! And no tax to boot! Post pics as soon as you get it. i am sure some AD's may deal a bit but most won't so $100 off, no tax, a strap...I'd say you got a good deal

Thanks Spencer! I am glad I finally joined the Panerai club! I have been looking at 312 forever but never pulled the trigger as I have always preferred the Luminor. However, 292 has always been the watch that made me drool!!! Just to celebrate, I opened up my favorite bottle of Scotch to toast myself!!!

Thanks guys!

Wow, it is cheap in Europe I suppose due to the recent drop in the Euro. I need a trip there while the Euro is down.

I can't wait to get it. 5 more days!!!

** bang head **: "Why didn't I get a PAM when I was in Italy and Spain" ... its still a lot cheap with the 3% CC foreign currency fee"

back to topic: I think $8k (or $7.9k?) with a free strap is a good deal for brand new 292 no pig, as least for the moment in US. Congrats! Post some pic when it arrives. :-)

Took the words out of mouth. I prefer the look of the Luminor too, I had a 111 but sold it. However the 292 “speaks to me”, and will be my next PAM purchase w/o any question

I always thought my first PAM would be a luminor but as it turns out my second PAM will be a luminor. As many of you have said, you can never stop at one. Let the madness begin!!!

Congrats on the 292.

I grabbed the 292J,but said no on the 28L.In black ,I found the Radiomir to have the edge. The 292 and 231 are two of my favourite Rads.

Well, isn't karma something. Like I said earlier in this post, I missed out on a 292 last week from my AD in New Jersey. So today, I am taking a casual walk in the mall here in Denver and stop into the AD. I am talking to one of their salesmen, who recognizes me and he tells me they have a 292L in the back. Sure enough, they did! I procured it! Very exciting!!!!!

How about some strap pictures now!
