Yes or no ?? a story of a 16600 vacationing all over Italy

These things can only happen to me...

july 2008 : walked into my local AD and left with a SD 16600.
Never really digged the watch due to it's weight ( it's just a matter of getting used to it anyway).

october 2008 : got married !! I needed a cool watch for that special day,so the SD worked out great. Back in the safe after my wedding.

november 2008 : bye bye SD,made funds for an LV..

From november 2008 my SD enjoyed and incredible tour of Italy : from my place to Tuscany, from Tuscany to southern Italy, from southern Italy to Rome, from Rome to northern Italy and back to Rome. This is what you call multiple change of ownership !!!

Now,my SD is on the market again !!!! Ok,I actually know I would never wear it much,I'm pretty much done with the Rolex thing, but that watch is undoubtly tied to my wedding day. When I look at my wedding album my eyes go straight to my beloved SD. Talked to wife yesterday wich already forgot wich watch was that but she was suprised and a bit bitter at me for having it sold.

What to do what to do ??

My nose started bleeding when I read that

Well the SD is purely for sentimental reasons so it seems, you do not appear inclined to want to wear it, so it is a lot of watch to keep in a watch box.

It all depends on whether the sentimentality outweighs your practical considerations for the watch

Rolexes are meant to be worn, so, if you don't think you're going to wear it much, I don't think sentimental reasons are enough to get it.

IMO, next to actual memories, a wedding photo album is the best keepsake from a wedding (besides the wife, of course).

Ciao getto,
ricompralo, è troppo legato al ricordo del tuo matrimonio ed un giorno lo potrai regalare ai tuoi figli ...

Buy it again, it's a matter of "emotional" watch ...

Ciao

This line might get you banned around here, Andy.

You're lucky Paulie (mailman) isn't around yet.

Seriously, I would get it again for the nostalgia alone.

I look at it this way... its a awesome excuse you can use to buy another Rolex. I am always on the prowl for legitimate reasons, (to justify to my lovely wife) to get another watch.

I can see it now here in my Texas abode....(Me) " but honey, its brings back memories of our wedding day" Her response... "Yea, I remember you much thinner, younger, and in better shape too. Can you also bring those back?"

Buy the damn thing back.

Cheers!

Jim

Go for it, your wife was upset that you sold it. That is good enough justification to buy another Rolex.

Lascia stare. In caso che non hai nessun'altra intenzione che nostalgia... non compri un'orologio che non vede mai il sole :)

Saluti della Svizzera...

I also wore my SD on my wedding day. I am a sentimental person, so I would keep it if I were you.

What to do what to do ??
I'm not more superstitious than the next guy, but what are the odds of this happening? I think it is meant to be in your collection. If you can make the SO happy at the same time, its a win win. Besides, you'll never have to wonder which watch to wear on your anniversary...
