Panerai serial number
Where can I find a listing of Panerai serial numbers showing which numbers or letters were made in which year?
Thanks |

Panerai has the simplest amd most straight forward system that I know of. Every year of production graduates to the next letter of the alphabet (I wonder what Rolex was thinking?). The A series began back in 1997, and now we are starting to see M series examples. Simple.
Next to the series letter on every Panerai is the series number followed by the total production of that model for the series. For example L693/800. Cheers! |

Also, that isn't the serial number. It is just the 'Millesimation'.
The serial numbers are like PB 153453 (which are on the case) There is also a movement number too. The "sticker" that you often see listed in many sales is important as it ties the case serial number to the movement number to ensure that the watch is original.

Mik is correct, of course. And just to add to the fun there are Case Numbers also... these are the ones that begin OP65 and are not fully understood... (so much for simple!)
Cheers
