005K/ New Bracelet?

Hey Panerai experts,
I'm about to join the panerai club and am debating a few different models. The one that really sings to me is the 005K (and 111 but that debate has been decided in favor of the 005 at least for today). I also love the idea of alternating between bracelet and strap ala the 320.

Is this possible with watches from the historic series? I have seen photos of the old bracelet on 005s, but wasn't sure if they were aftermarket bracelets and if the new bracelet would work with the 005 considering the new strap change mechanism.

Yeah, new guy is full of questions :) Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I haven't seen it completed, but you aren't risking much but time. I've seen aftermarket bands for 50-100 dollars. Buy it and if it fits, you win. If not sell it and get 80% of your money back. Still cheaper than a piece of leather. I would be worried about the bracelet scratching up the 12 and 6 o'clock side of your case. If it isn't OEM, it won't fit perfect.

Good luck.
