16613 or 16610 LV
Hello, I've decided to purchased a mint used sub.
I'm between a 16613 blue or 16110 LV, both would be around the same price, so the Lv would be newer. I'm looking at a 5-5.5k range. I'm 22 and the watch would be purchased with my own made money, no present in this case. I love the looks of both, but maney people say that for my age, the 16613 is a bit too "drug dealer look". What do you guys think?? Thanks! |

I'd choose the LV and would also consider purchasing a black bezel that you could change out with the green to occasionally give you a different look. Good luck in your decision.

I have the LV and its a nice watch. Many people say you get this drug dealer look with yellow gold but that is a matter of your taste as you are the one who will wear it.

I have always been partial to the TT Sub. I never understood the part that the gold makes you look old. I bought my first Rolex in my 20s, an AirKing because that was what I could afford. A SS Date Sub, A Pepsi GMT, a TT Sub blue, and the latest a TT Sub black, I just turned 58. I thought the liver spots on my hands made me look old, maybe it is the gold. Go for the stainless Sub

I have both. I really love the LV but would have to go with the 16613 if I had to choose one.

I believe you really have a good handle on the situation. For me, the 16613 is not the watch I would want to wear at age 22. LV all the way. However, if you love the 16613 then go for it.

I would choose the LV.
Coming from TT ownership, I learned it takes a certain "vintage" to be able to carry it well.

Since both are essentially the same watch with only external cosmetic differences, I think the decision should be based on appearance. So which catches your eye more?
If the choice were mine, I'd go with the TT Blue. That shade of blue is gorgeous and has not been replicated with the new ceramic TT Blue. Also, it combines beautifully with the yellow gold. Good luck deciding! |

LV also, but the 16613 TT (especially in blue) is simply gorgeous

That´s a 997 Carrera S, no Turbo, and it´s a stock photo from factory to press release. Sadly, I can´t find the wallpaper sized ones I had here of them. But with a bit of effort, it might be able to find them on the net. Greetings, Erwin.

Thanks for replies, now I've added a Yachmaster platinium into my choice! I like the red second hand.
I need to have the three of them at the same time in front of me to make a choice. I think I will go for a M serial 16613. Could someone post all of the serials with it's year fot his watch? Thanks PS: The Porsche in the picture is a 997.2 Carrera, (not the S), and it has the 19" Sport Design wheels, I love that pic. |

Another vote for the LV.
I love the maxi dial and if you switch out the green bezel with the black one, you're set. Then again, if you're adding the YM to the mix, I'd go with that. I love the red second hand, the red text on the dial, the platinum dial, and the bezel is so very nice. |

I love them both.
They are awesome watches, but for your occasion i think that you should go with the LV and an extra black bezel insert Edit: As for the YM, i don't think that you can use it as a daily wearer especially with the PCL's. |

I have them both also. Love both, but if I had to choose it would definately be the TT blue 16613. Many agree that it may be one of the most stunning watches ever made. Try them both on and you will know which one you like best. I never worry about what anyone else may think, I just get what I like best. Of course, you can't go wrong either way as both are "must have" watches.

I second this. It gives you the versailty of having a green or black watch. Also two tone is not my thing and I absolutely love the LV so it gets my vote.

if you are planning on wearing the watch daily for all purposes I would suggest an SS watch regardless of age :P
