Warantee Service for a Trusted Seller Purchase?
Has anyone ever tried to get warantee service from a RSC center on a BNIB purchase from a trusted seller?
If so, was the warantee work completed without a problem? Anyone ever have a problem?? Does the RSC require a receipt from an AD or is a warantee card stamped by the AD sufficient? I'm assuming here your trusted seller puchase won't come with a receipt from the AD that stamped the card. Also can you go to the AD that stamped the warantee card for minor issues such as adjusting the bracelet or adjusting the watches accuracy if it was too fast for example? Thanks in advance for all replies. |

Minor adjustment, I would just go to the dealer. I had my YM taken care of free of charge after a year out of warranty. They wanted a copy of the reciept and warranty card. If they made me pay out of pocket it would have been over 1500 bucks.

Without an AD receipt you are probably out of luck on Warranty work.

Good question, I have heard both stories as to this, I am interested in hearing the replies as well. I would personally think that as long as its US AD if you live in US you would be ok but who knows...

I just had a warranty regulation done by the NY RSC. They wanted a copy of the warranty and receipt which are dated. The cost was $0 and received the green pouch and cloth.

Was your receipt from the trusted seller or the AD?

It was from an AD in Barbados. The warranty is in French.

OK. Others will correct me if I'm wrong but when buying from a trusted seller, the warantee card will be stamped by the AD but the receipt will be from the trusted seller.
If that is the case, will the RSC honor the two year warantee? Still not clear to me. |
