Bamford GMT

My friend received his Bamford PVD GMT II today. It was designed by my friend himself so I took some pictures for you to see.

I hope he likes it, it in not my thing at all, but I hope he enjoys it.

The bad thing is resale is destroyed on a watch like this. I buy used Rolex weekly across my counter, and I would seriously only go about $1000.00 on such a watch.

Have to admit that if you are into custom things like suits and cars; a custom rolex designed by yourself is cool.

WOW, I hope he likes it! As others have mentioned resale is destroyed here but if this is what one wants and they like it, who cares right?

I can honestly say I have NEVER seen anything like this before in my life...To each their own.

Hmm, I wouldn't be happy with the quality of the lume on the hour markers, looks very rough indeed, especially for the prices that Bamfords charge. Just my

He told me he has always wanted to design his own personal Rolex, he is not bothered about resale because it will never be sold.
I must say it looks better in the flesh, not really my cup of tea, but he is happy & that all that matters I suppose.

You got it, everyone likes something different and not everyone cares about resale... Question here though, he could never have this watch serviced by RSC without them returning it to original condition (other than the pvd) correct? At his expense too?

Bamfords warranty the watch & service it as well.

I DON'T GET IT

Why do people destroy a Rolex whey they can just go buy a Panerai if they want a nice watch with PVD coating.

I think this needs to be moved from the Rolex section to some other place far far away.

What's the problem with us not being polite?

While it's not to my taste I hope that your friend enjoys his watch.

It is certainly unique.

For a custom piece its cool. I have customized things that nobody else liked but me and guess what I didn't care so to each his own.The bottom line is he had the cash and the stones to do it and is happy with it.

Thanks for sharing...

I appreciated the pictures. Pass along my congrats to your friend on a one-of-a-kind.

I'm happy with my GMT the way it came from the factory, but I can certainly understand and appreciate the custom work done to your friends Rolex. I kinda like some of the PVD/blacked out watches on the Bamford website.

Some lume shots would be interesting.

That is truly one of the ugliest Rolex I've ever seen (I almost threw up a bit in my mouth...).

I'm happy if your friend is happy. I hope he enjoys it but he has some of the weirdest tastes I've ever seen.

Interesting........however as a collector, any deviations to the original specifications of a watch makes me.... (Just kidding) If it's costomized, and a personal keeper....It's all good.

Is the lume light blue as well, or the standard greenish hue? I'm interested by the physical appearance of the lume fill.
