DateJust Newbie...

As a Rolex Sports Watch enthusiast, I have now ventured out a little bit and got myself something a tad different.

I debated going "Vintage" for a while, but after trying on various models of SS / Silver / fluted bezel / Jubilee (my must-have configuration) I went new. The pricing was a bit rich for the 70's, 80's and 90's models I was finding, and I was pretty particular re: the condition of the watch I wanted. Needless to say, most of the original bracelets would have needed replacing.

My first BNIB Rolex ever. An early Birthday present to myself.

I have to say, I love the simple, understated dial and certainly the substantial Super Jubilee!

My fave Dial on the Datejust. Love it, Bill! Enjoy it to the max, and I know that the Super Jubilee won't let happen what happened to me!

Love the DJ, must be why I still have 3.

In the race towards bigger, bigger, bigger, the 36 mm DJ still holds its ground.

Wear yours in good health.

Much thanks to TRFers old / not so old for your nice comments / congrats

I am glad to see we have some newer folks who made it through the recent unpleasantness.

BTW Karis,
My wife is now an unwilling "twin." You will recall I got her the identical Lady DJ configuration this past spring after swaying her away from the Lady Yachtmaster (TT / white dial / black markers - not my thing!)

Had no intention of EVER doing the his / hers thing. That's OK though. As she and my TRF buddy Marcinthemiddle told me, you have other watches, you won't be wearing them at the same time - much.
