I've been keeping my eye out for threads on the new sub. I'm really interested in this one. At first I fell in love with the black one but now I can't get my mind off of the green dial. There's a nice picture of it on the cover of Watch Time Magazine. At first I didn't like the green but now it is really growing on me. I think this is going to be my next watch and my first Rolex.

Only improvements I see are the use of the maxi dial and perhaps the new clasp.
Other than that, I don't really like the new Sub.
The ceramic bezel looks nice, but it causes the pearl at 12 o'clock to sit high, and it unnecessarily adds to the final cost of the watch.
In my opinion, the new "super" case doesn't look anywhere as good as the current (or old) case.
Also, they need to go back to having drilled lugs on the Sub Date.

I'm probably being nit-picky because it's still a nice watch and will have no problem selling anyways.
Who knows, maybe these new changes will grow on me.
Until then, I'll happily stick with my current Sub.

I'm right there with you Bret. I've really taken a liking to this watch and it will most likely be my first Rolex too.
