Nine years ago today ... GMTII ... Pepsi

Nine years ago at this monent I was wearing my first Rolex in the sun at the beginning of its long journey. My wife to be had given me this Pepsi at our rehersal dinner. It was complete suprise.

Last night I took out the box and showed her the picture I have had stored in it that my brother had taken. She had never seen it and it has the expression on my face as I opened it. Great times, great life.

I can't seem to get the Tubes "She's a Beauty" out of my head now while reading this post.

Congrats on 9 years!

One of my favorite Rolex models ever. Sad to see this model come to the end of its journey.

Congratulations! That's one of the best Rolex stories I've read in a long time. And now I'm wondering - did your wife know you wanted a GMT...or was it her choice? Either way- your GMT has a value that goes far beyond monetary...

Great story and great watch! I hope the next nine years are as good to you and your wife as the first nine clearly were.
