This is my next watch.

Going to save up for this one and when I go to Hong Kong in a couple of years, I will get it over there. Pics from Bernhard:

Very nice! I prefer the black with grey dials.

You already have a very nice collection. Can't wait to see what you will aquire by the time you graduate college...

BTW, is your GMT back on your wrist? How did you handle DT's? (withdrawals)

This is what kills me. People say they can't afford a watch, or anything for that matter, they're too expensive, yada yada yada, but this young man has more brains than most of us adults here have. He knows if you want something you have to save for it. Do the math, you don't need a dozen jobs or make a million bucks to afford a $5K watch, all you need to do is have a plan and stick to it. Kyle, my hat's off to you young man, I wish I had half the brain you do when I was your age. Your parents must be very proud of you.

The beauty of being young, is that he can get a job and pool ALL of that money towards his watch! NO living expenses!

It is gorgeous, the best thing that came out of Basel.

However, realize it is not a chronograph movement. Info concerning from a blog: http://precisiontime.blogspot.com/20...ge-chrono.html

The fly in the ointment. Tudor does not make its own movements. So we were hoping to see a heavily modified tried and tested ETA Valjoux 7750 movement in this watch. Instead we get a ETA 2892 non-chronograph movement with a Dubois-dépraz 2054 module (which is an additional plate where the chrono parts are found). This will make the watch pretty difficult to service. For those considering long terms ownership, look elsewhere. As a counterpoint, it is a Tudor to be sold at a Tudor price. It is not a Rolex, which means Rolex pricing.

Thanks guys! I'm kind of liking the black dial more, but I think I will need to see it in person first. I might get a summer job next year, and I'm trying to do something with my watch pictures this summer.

Taking a break right now with a Seamaster, but I'll wear it tomorrow.

Why Asia?

Sorry if this well known to everyone else but why do people want to buy these watches in HK or Japan?

I'm guessing they must be cheaper but how much cheaper that you're willing to wait a couple of years and risk price increases?

Also, is it just these models or are all models in general that are so much cheaper?

I was in Singapore a few weeks ago and didn't find them that much cheaper that you couldn't match or beat the prices in the US after agressive bargaining with an AD.

Tudors aren't sold in the US.

Nice choice .. these seem to be very popular . They are the cheapest in Euro at the moment . When the RRP was established the Euro /dollar rate as not to change that drastically . At the current rate they are about 20 % cheaper the canadian list price .
... No don't PM they are both gone .

It is an awesome looking watch but the chrono only can read up to 45 minutes?

Gorgeous - love it!

A chrono with a date - go figure...

Love the face, but what is the bezel for?

By that time your wrist will also be bigger. As I understand the diameter is 42mm.
