Does anyone know if Cariter watches all use in house movements?
I am helping a friend buy her next watch.

cartier in-house watch mvmts

it's my understanding that cartier does have in-house production of several mvmts. they augmented their own capabities a few yrs ago with the purchase of roger dubuis' mvmt making facility. cartier recently released the 'cartier calibre' featuring their first in-house automatic mvmt. i believe they also make other in-house mvmts incl a tourbillon based largely on a roger dubuis design. i do not believe cartier mvmts are all produced in-house.

I thought the first in-house movement appeared in the recently introduced Calibre model, and the rest were sourced from other manufacturers (ETA and others).

Both the santos and ballon bleu have eta sourced movements. I assume a lot of their other pieces do as well, till you get to their more high end pieces...

I'd be willing to bet that quantity wise >95% of their watches use outsourced movements. I'm sure they sell a ton of ladies tanks compared to their own atelier movements.
