FS: Rolex Submariner 16800 8.3M serial - $3495
Up for sale, because I'm finding it too similar to my 5513, is my 16800.
Just purchased it a week ago from a reputable collector on TZ. It's a beautiful specimen, ALL original from 1983. Tritium pearl, hands, and dial all have patina'd evenly and are a nice creamy yellow. Date wheel has the "open 6 and 9's" which give it that vintage feel despite the sapphire crystal. Lugs and crown guards are thick with sharp edges, leading me to believe that this watch hasn't been polished, or if it has, just minimally. Watch comes on original 93150 in great condition for a watch of this age. Previous owner had his Rolex watchmaker inspect the watch and movement, and prior to the sale, it was running at a total of +10 seconds over a week. I have not timed it myself, but it shouldn't need a service for a long time. Excellent all original vintage specimen. If you're looking for an inexpensive entry into the world of vintage Rolex, this makes a great springboard. I'm looking to quickly sell it at $3495 shipped, CONUS. I am a very reputable seller on various forums, so payment by bank-wire or MO strongly preferred. If Paypal is required, we may be able to work something out, but I will give preference to bank-wire payments. First picture is from previous owner because he more accurately captured the patina. The rest of the photos are mine: Pictured here with my 5513, obviously not included. |
