Snow in the UK

We have just had our usual single session of snow here in the UK and all the schools are closed and traffic chaos has ensued.

The supermarkets are out of bread and milk even though it is all due to be thawed by tomorrow.

It has just stopped snowing here in Wales (10 miles south of Brecon Beacons).

I'm working from home today so here's a pic from my window as of 12:25pm, approx 10 inches on the ground.

Yes agree about the supermarkets but its the same every year bit of snow panic buying steps in still snowing with me but not so much.Every year a bit of snow the whole country grinds to a halt.Even the schools after the forecast yesterday were closed,in my school days had to walk to school in all weathers, and winters a lot harder than the last 10 years or so

Looking down the forest lane this morning from window

Looking out on to the back garden a lot of my Bonsai trees
under the snow.

Those sorts of temperatures would not take long to turn one into a stiff frozen solid lump.Unless properly clothed, definitely not singlet and shorts weather.

True... last week I dropped the car off for service 3km from the office and walked the distance... in a -30C temp with a windchill of -38! My coffee got cold before I could get halfway through it.
