Another 1665 SD from Tokyo

ALCON,
These are pictures of another 1665 SD recently sold in a Tokyo shop.
I just can't get enough of the SD series (1665, 16660, 16600)!
By far, my favorite Rolex watches.
V/R,
Mike

GMT is a great shop

I go to GMT in Tokyo 3 times a year. They are a great shop and some of the other non rolex watches are insane. Prices are very very high.

WOW, one of the cleanest examples I've seen. Congrats to the lucky new owner!

No. I did'nt see the listing while it was still active. Once sold, the website just lists "SOLD" (in Japanese of course売り切れ).

much nicer out there, and probably a lot cheaper than tokyo

very pretty apart from all the chips around the dial that have been touched up in someones lunch hour with car repair paint by the looks of it !!!

the fact its in a round caseback model would also mean you would want to look at its serial and inside caseback very carfeully before deciding if it started life with that repaired dial on.

Tokyo may not be dirt cheap, but I can attest that most pre-owned watches carried by shops are in EXCELLENT condition. Much nicer shape on average Vs. "Vintage" shops in the US IMO.

I had the pleasure of knocking about Jack Road with TRF Daytona Guru "Otto" this past spring... Nice prices on white dial Daytonas. Too bad I started liking black better. The latter carry about a $1,000 premium over white .

Yes. Otto is a mentor to all of us here in Tokyo.
