....this advert appeared in the June 6, 1953 Illustrated London News. An original, not a reprint, the flip side has an advert for Moss Bros Clothiers. One of my collection of Rolex adverts:

Hi Allan. I just did some mental math and Holy Moley!!!....that piece of paper is 57 years old now. Imagine that!

I'm fascinated by how even in 1953, history and pedigree fed into the wristwatch market while it was still relatively young!
