Rolex watch syndrome!
I've recently purchased an Explorer (114270 V series) and I'm already looking at new models! Is this normal?! Did any others feel this way?
I love the Explorer II with white dial and upon seeing the new green Sub I could weep with joy. The problem, of course is the expense. One day I'll build the collection, but my Explorer needs to 'explore' first before I even think about it. Damn you, Rolex! |

Welcome. Congrats on your new Explorer. Yes, it is a sickness. Being here doesn't make it any better either.

I too now also have the sickness! Until a couple of weeks ago I would only wear Omega watches (had 3 but just sold 1) but finally gave in and purchased a new Rolex Submariner 16610. Since this purchase the bug has infected me and I am already thinking about my next Rolex. However, I am going in the opposite direction and thinking of a vintage 1960s made Submariner 5513.
The illness brings much enjoyment but also a sickly bank balance :p M Last edited by NMS75; 12 July 2010 at 04:04 AM.. Reason: Typos |

Same problem here... Just purchased a 2001 SS/WG DJ two weeks ago, my first Rolex. Already wanting more. Does go nice with my collection, but would like either a Sub or GMT Master (or both) to go along with it. This is a great website...

I'm loving my ExpII, but I'm wondering what it would look like on an alligator strap. So, yes, it is a sickness. |

You should sell your Rolex Explorer immediately, and delete any bookmarks or history of this forum....
Because that is the ONLY way you can stop the addiction. But then again - chances of that happening is really slim... You'd probably be a Rolex junky like we are here... lol |

I went 10+ years with only one watch, then I made the mistake to buy another one a few months ago...
6 weeks after that one came another one, and I'm still itching for another one... This hobby is a b..ch...

Oh by the way - just give in - don't fight the urge. It's to no avail. You'll lose anyway... so don't bother trying, you'll just be wasting your time and energy. The outcome is imminent... hehehehe...

the only cure (and it works):

If you are the type of person that always do lots of research before buying anything. This is what happen when you have done too much research before you buy your first Rolex.
And yes this is only beginning |
