Can you fit a steel/gold bracelet on a Daytona on leather?

You see I'm wondering...

You can just easily take out a bracelet from a Rolex and fit a leather strap on it...

But if you purchase a leather strapped Rolex in the first place, there is the half-bracelet cover on the case that sticks out to cover the gaps for the leather straps near the lugs... but I suspect it would make us unable to stick a bracelet on to it...

Any chance on working on this?

Here's that "half bracelet cover" that I meant...

Do some searching with the advanced search tool. I recall a discussion on this. Not sure if you can...but be prepared to pay a good chunk of change for a bracelet.

From what I remember of that thread, it's not possible to fit a bracelet on Daytona's with leather straps. This is because the lug holes of a leather strap Dayotna model sit further down the lugs thereby leaving a big gap between the bracelet and the case. I wish that this would not be the case as having the choice to use either a bracelet or strap would be a great option to have.

Here's the thread (or one of them). The conclusion I believe was that it's not possible.

Should be possible to fit a NATO on it though.
