...clarification...
...the California dialed Tudors are watches that NEVER EXISTED.
...what people have done over the years, was to re-finish the original dials to what is now referred to as a "CALIFORNIA" dial pattern. ...EVERYTHING about the watch is genuine/original EXCEPT the refinished dial. ...the Rolex crown and sometimes the word Rolex are added to the dials to enhance the sale/value of the watch by bearing the Rolex crown. ...this is TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT and within the US borders is a VIOLATION of the Lanham Act.....period. ...while many appear to look very appealing, it is still TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT. (I PERSONALLY own a couple of these, but I also have the ORIGINAL dial for MY watches.) ...IF you consider one of these for purchase, be aware that IF it would ever be sent to an RSC, they would most likely be confiscated as COUNTERFEIT. |
