Tudor 7928 IDF Milsub

I was fortunate to pic up an Original IDF Issued Tudor 7928 Milsub from its original owner the other day. This particular watch was issued in 1966 to a Special Commando unit. Full History to follow. The Watch came on an expandable 6636 and according to the owner the watch was painted black when issued.

Thanks Steve, When I hear Milsub I think Rolex, all the rest including Tudor are military watches to me. I agree that tudors could be milsubs as well

I am currently on my summer vacation but check in to TRF regularly. The original owner is looking for old photos and writing me a letter with the watch and unit history.I have been wearing this on a leather NATO strap and on its original Rivet bracelet too here are some more pics.

Simply gorgeous!! I'm surprised there is no Hebrew lettering on the caseback.

BTW, if you ever get a line on an IDF issue Eterna-Matic Super Kontiki, PM me!!! :)

I communicated with the original owner today and this is what he told me. He was in a unit named Shayetet 13 and the watch was issued to him. The watch and him saw heavy action including the Green Island Raid. The watch was serviced twice while in the military and 3 times after. It was painted all black when it was issued to him and he had the paint removed after military service.I am still on vacation but when I return I will update. If anybody has 1 of these super rare watches please share them with us.
