Hope your brother's ok mate.....

& I insure my watches with http://www.watches2insure.com/

I've never claimed so I don't know how good they are but a friend of mine is in insurance so he checked them out & reckoned they seemed legit' enough.

I also have my watches insured by these guys and they are top class, it is also possible so tailor the policy to your specific needs should the standard terms not suit...I haven't made a claim yet so can't comment on that side of things though.

I work for a city of London underwriters who have a good business relationship with the below company so I'm sure they are more than legit.

To the OP, sorry to here about your brother, I suppose even though his watch was stolen lucky he wasn't stabbed or worse.

Are you able to tell us where in London it happened.

Thanks
Mike

Guys txs for your kind replies. Brother was stopped in maddox st, mayfair, at around midnight of a friday night. For who doesn't know the area, there are at least 4 restaurants + a night club nearby, plenty of people around at any time. Brother is just 28 and is a big guy, small cut in his face, some black mark but everything will be gone soon... Police told us that unfortunately it's quite commun that this things happen in central london... Speachless...

Unbelievable...just goes to show that if someone wants to steal something from you then they will just do it regardless of where you are. I'm out in the west end of London all the time...think I'll be a bit more careful from now on.

Sorry to hear that mate. At least your brother wasn't seriously hurt - the watch can always be replaced but that sort of incident will always leave a sour taste in your mouth.

wow - in Mayfair!?!
suppose anything can happen that late at night. Could just be at the wrong place at the wrong time. As long as your bro is getting better, thats all it matters. Watch can be replaced.

This reminds me of what I have read lately - residents in Hampstead (a very wealthy inner london suburb) have been reporting gangs robbing their Rolex watch out in the public....

Here in San Diego over the weekend a man and a woman were approached by two thugs who tried to take her purse and the end result is both thugs are in the hospital with several stab wounds and the man was unharmed. Can you believe the news reported that the police may press charges against the man for defending himself. What is the world coming to when you cannot defend yourself against a thug.

That's California for ya. Move to Texas...things are a bit more fair (as far as self-defense matters go) around here.

Every rolex owner should have an insurance policy on their watch. Its piece of mind at a cheap price. If i ever get robbed, i will give mine up. No need to put my life in danger. Well maybe not if i have my g26 on me!
