Panerai 236 jumpy chrono second hand?
Ok, so I've gone crazy with watch purchases in the past 4 weeks or so...
I found a great deal on this one so I had to pick it up. It's been appraised at Zadok's Jewelers so I'm 99.987% sure it's the real deal. NOW: when I'm operating the chronograph function (which I do ALL the time), the second hand seems jumpy. For sure, it's not as smooth as the actual "seconds hand" (at 9 o'clock). And it's not nearly as smooth as the chrono second hand on my tag heuers. Is THIS common? Does it need servicing? Thanks again for your (collective) expertise. |

You probably just need to change the battery.

Ok, so after I perused each and EVERY response on this thread , I decided to contact PaneraiUSA.
Apparently, they will verify authenticity and run it through a battery of tests ... FOR FREE! And if something "needs" to be done (and I'm fully confident that they'll find SOMETHING that needs to be "tuned" or replaced), then I have the option of having said repairs made. Otherwise, they'll ship it back to me ... FOR FREE! Awesome. Anyway, here's their contact info if anyone else needs to get anything authenticated for peace of mind: Panerai After Sales Service Center 15100 Trinity Boulevard, Suite 300 Fort Worth, TX 76155 866.374.4430 |
