RSC Charges went up?

Today I asked my AD the approx cost for a full service for a 20 yr old TT T-Bird (aka TOG) that's never been in the shop as it was rarely worn by me. I asked if it was still in the neighborhood of $300 to $500 U$D. They kinda laughed and said it was more like between $500 to $800. Does anyone else in the ConUS experience these high charges? Comments, pls. Thanks!

um... it's been like this since last year. giovanni at sf rsc has always been nice to me, and he charges for $540 - 590 for a full service (varies for different movements).

Yup, the SF RSC has the best reputation and they return the old parts.

The price is the norm these days........around 600 but certain models command a higher price depending on complications!!

I like my local watchmaker at the Rolex AD; Ben Bridge Silverdale, WA. Tim is around $400 for a standard sub. Just saw him today to look over a couple new purchases.

Rik Dietel has an excellent reputation in the TRF community and is around $350 - $400 plus parts. http://www.timecareinc.com/index.html

Nesbit's in Seattle is quite reputable too. They are a Rolex authorized parts dealer.

It will cost around $550 for just a service and polish. If the watch needs something else, like a crystal, that will be extra

My Minnesota AD estimates around $700 for a full service at NY RSC.

I was quoted $550 for service on my 16710 (RSC Dallas), to include tube and crown. The chrystal was $130.
