Should I flip my GMT and Sub for a new ceramic sports model?
I can’t get the new ceramic models out of my head. I’m not sure what is drawing me to them; clasp, bezel, case….
At this time I can’t afford to get one so I’m considering flipping two of my watches to cover the cost. I’m wondering if I will regret the flip. My GMT is a great set with oyster and jubilee bracelets, Pepsi, Coke, and black bezels. The Sub is my daily wearer. I also can’t decide which ceramic I would like to get. DSSD, GMT, Sub? I know I need a GMT as travel a lot for work. But each watch has different features and I’m not sure which one will make me happy. Oh the agony of indecision…..

You're just like me as I have been considering almost the exact same flip for the Sub-C. I can't stop thinking about it.
In fact, you can read all about it right here. 78 respondents to my poll should be a pretty good enabler for you to decide. |

Are you positively sure of you indecision?
If so, you may need to meet with the TRF Sub-c Marketing Manager (Eric88). He will shoot ya straight! :-) |

You could always buy another of the watch you miss most between the two. I can tell you my GmtIIc is still something I stare at after over two years of owning it!

2 for 1?
It would simplify my life. More wrist time for each watch... I hope. Oh the agony of indecision…..

Elagance is in simplicity.
Compare a front yard in Florida to one in Switzerland. Ever heard of Swiss Flamingos? Hope this helps in your indecision. |

It's obviously up to you but, I wouldn't sell the GMT or the Sub. The ceramic models will be made for years to come so when you can afford to add one it will be there.

Yes... It's all the goodies that make this watch great. It has tones of combinations.
Maybe I can acquire a modern clap for my GMT. Then I can have the best of both worlds.

Most front yards of the mind do not share my value systems.
Money should not determine a decision. Values should. If you value a Swiss landscape within the den of your watch collection, then go get your passport and fly first-class with no regrets. |

Of course, any Rolex will provide an ample Swiss landscape.

I wouldn't trade 2 classics for 1 ceramic.
Discontinued references are now a finite quantity. The ceramics, however, are still recently introduced and will still command the usual new-model price. Keep the 2 and save up for a pre-loved Ceramic. A year from now, when the hype dies down, and you still want to trade for it, it might cost you only one watch instead of 2.

Hold on to what you got, save your bucks and get the ceramic later.

Having owned the same watches and now owning the GMTIIc and having viewed the new Sub-c here is my opinion for what it is worth:
Trade up and get a GMTIIc. This watch is heavenly in every respect! I have owned it for over two years and I am as delighted when I look at it daily as I was the first day I bought it. Very functional and practical. I have flipped many a Rolex over the years, but I will sell my house before I sell this model and that is no joke! Yes, my priorities are screwed up! I think. On the other hand having viewed and tried the Sub-c, I would not trade up for it. Simply because a dive watch really serves no purpose (unless you are a serious diver!). Even then, why would you dive with a 7k+ watch as beutiful as that? It is a gorgeous watch; but one ceramic is enough IMHO. |

I would keep the classics and wait for the new one. The new one will only get less expensive and easier to get. You have plenty of time. The classics are getting harder to find and more expensive. Think about it!
