Gmt pepsi differences

Just wondering if anyone can explain the differences between the gmt 1 and the gmt 2? Sorry but I'm clueless about this as I've never been interested in the gmt until today where it piqued my interests. Also am I correct that the gmt pepsi is discontinued due to the ceramic version of gmt2. Thank you guys for your time.

Movement-wise, the 1675 does not have a quickset function for the date, the succeeding 16750 does. Both along with the 16700 are all GMT (1).

GMT 2s will have the jump hour feature which allows you to jump the hour hand in 1 hour increments. GMT 2s will also let you track a third time zone temporarily. References would be 16760, 16710, and 116710 (II-c).

Hope I didn't miss anything.

Some I can think off the top of my head is the GMT has the quick date feature the GMT II does not. On the GMT II you can set GMT hand you cannot on the GMT you have to use the bezel to keep time in another time zone.

You're not feeling the itch again, are you?

You can't go wrong with any of the references, Ritchie!

He saw the GMT Pepsi I got today and he has to have one. I can't blame him I saw one in a restaurant and have not stop thinking about it since. I had to get one.

I still think you made the right move by going Pepsi instead of the Daytona.

forget the bezel insert colors...

the most important difference between the gmt and gmt2 (other than the fact that the gmt was discontinued in 1999) is that the regular mercedes hand and the red, 24 hour hand are alway synchronized on the gmt.

on the gmt2, the two hour hands can be de-synchronized by 'jumping' the regular hour hand to different hours.

on the gmt, the date is changed with a quickset function. but on the gmt2, the date is changed by jumping the hour hand.

youtube the gmt. you'll see it in action.

there's also a few really nice forum threads and websites about the gmt's history. do some reading.

This isn't correct with the 1675. The date changes by you moving the time forward 24 hours.
