I decided to wear my Day-Date on my extremely long flight across the Pacific to Washington, DC, yesterday. Reading the old Sub vs new Sub thread, I am reminded that bigger is not always better and that classic implies a watch has withstood the test of time over the years... I'll probably get a Day-Date II eventually; but I still love this tried and true classic.

Cool Otto! I agree 100%.

If you do get that DDII, it wont look as good as that one though.

Nice and classy looks that are just hard to beat.

Great looking watch.

I certainly believe at this point some of the larger watches are a bit extreme, however I did recently choose the DJII over the DJ because I thought the 41mm because I perfered the 41mm to the 36mm.

It is easy to understand why you love your DD. It is a wonderful watch, and the size is perfect. I do not have a DD, but wouldn't mind. I am too stuck with the "sporties"...

I have smaller wrists & find that, for me....36(dress)-40mm(sport) is, as Goldilocks would say "just right"

Because of its' thickness and robustness, it wears larger than any other 36MM....
