93150 bracelet question

Hi guys I have a quick question
Are there any differences between the vintage 93150 bracelet that found on 1680 subs and 1665 SDs and the modern 93150 of the 14060 no date sub?
Thanks

the 93150 bracelet has been around for ages. a 93150 bracelet is a 93150 bracelet, no difference.

The vintage 9315 had folded links. The retro 93150's had a smooth flip-lock buckle. Im not sure what year Rolex added the lines to the buckle.

Yes, there is a difference. The last small link attaching to the lug pin is oval on the older 93150, but has (IMO) a complicated geometrical form on the more recent 93150's that keeps the last link in a fixed position compared to the older style. I resembles the SEL bracelets to some degree. On the older 93150 you can move all links freely in the bracelet, but on the new (since ca 2000) you can not rotate the last small link.

Is it an improvement? Not if you ask me, but it helps avoding the sharp edges of the lugs to catch on to something.

(Was this possible to understand?)

Best,

A

Hmm interesting..so the 580 end links have the newer shape you refer to I assume..but could you fit older style end links to a newer 93150?
Also did all 93150s come with brushed sides?

Thanks all for the relpies..

I am not talking about the end links, but the last center link of the bracelet itself, through which the lug pin goes. It has a shape that keeps it fixed towards the case and/or end link so it will not rotate.

I believe the same end links can still be used. Try to see a recent 14060M and you will see what I mean. I did try to find a picture but failed.

To the best of my knowledge the 78360 still has the same style.

Best,

A
