A bit of a dilemma.......

So if you've read my introduction thread you know that once upon a time I owned a Red Sub that unfortunately was damaged beyond repair in Iraq. Some of you might sneer at the though of wearing such a watch in an environment such as that , but I consider it a tool. I do not buy things and not use them as intended, especially watches, and vehicles. I am in at a point in my life that I can start enjoying watches again, but im stuck between replacing my Red sub, or pulling the trigger on the absolutely stunning new Sub-c!

Go with your heart. Take a breather and think about it. It sounds as if you would much rather have the red Sub, are you sure the new SubC will work for you?

Only you can know for sure.

Do you still have the red-sub, or was it trash?

If I was you, I might get the new one, since the one (if forever lost) you wore in Iraq is not coming back... You might get a similar watch, but not the one you had on you.

Welcome Home!

If you're looking to buy the Red Sub for the sake of nostalgia, I can understand that.

It sounds as if the Sub-c would fit the bill nowadays though...

Not home yet , but thank you.....I cant seem to get away from the urge to make money!! I am currently somewhere in the Indian Ocean providing security against Somali pirates. Oddly enough we have had several search and seize ops and ive found even the pirates have an affinity for fine timepieces stolen no doubt, but impressive for someone who lives in a hut!

Winston, I would go for the new Sub C. You have certainly earned the right to enjoy that gorgeous baby on your wrist!

I wouldn't sneer at you wearing the sub in Iraq. In fact, I would expect it from someone who would jump out a perfectly good airplane (airborne airborne all the way, airborne airborne everyday)

I would get both. First the Sub C

if I were you and have the luck and the means to obtain and own both - I would do it in a heartbeat.

(problems solved... No?)

It has been 4 years since airborne school and I still sometimes say it in my head when I go for a run. I do not think I will ever forget it.

Winston I would get a new sub while you wait for just the right deal on a replacement for your lost sub. I am sure you will not get many sneers here about wearing a tool watch. Thanks for your service to our country!

You must like the new case to get the sub C....it really is a different watch, especially in terms of feel.

I'd get the one you miss.....and the newer one later.
