fat wristed?

I started this post earlier today and must have gotten too long winded because I think I got timed out. Does this happen? Anyway I bought a new 16610 Z series from my AD yesterday for 20% off. I was pretty happy. However the guy adjusted the bracelet as far out as it will go and it is a tad snug. I've seen on this forum where you should be able to slip a finger under the clasp. No Way! I know it is going to be a problem when warm weather gets here. He can order another link for $50 but I can't believe I need it. My wrists are not abnormally large and I have no problem at all with my vintage GMT. Why would the Sub Bracelet be different? I guess quit lifting or eating, one or the other!
