Two similar Rolex's

Q.- Does anybody here enjoy ownership of 2 Rolex's which are almost the same but with slight differences?
I'm thinking specifically of the SS black dial Sub and the SS black dial SeaDweller. Or the TT black and gold Sub and the TT BLUE and gold Sub.
You need to be a total fanatic to go there, but we must have members who have done this.... Anybody?

Take one JJ, a can of gold paint and some masking tape and the above combination is a real possibility.

At least we'd get good pictures.

LV Sub and Black dial GMT ll Black Beauty. I think they are similar in some respects, both sports watches with similar diameters. The sub is bit thicker, but both are ss and very hardy and practical. They both have bezels which differ greatly, but are still kind of in the same family. Both have black faces and white luminova. I wonder if I shoudda gotten the TOG, but I won't be a shoudda coudda guy...it is not healthy in the world of Rolex. There is always another Rolex that looks good.

Yes indeed. They are two watches of the same family.
I am so thinking of either an LV or GMT SS black dial. The next time I'm offered the LV I may just go for it... Larry.

Mrdi and Arturo - All roads seem to lead back to the SS black dial Subs & GMT's. Everybody seems to love them. Including me. Maybe it's not a dumb thing to have more than one of yr. favorite look... Larry.

Well I have 2 x GMT 16750 (one matte dail and one gloss, both pepsi) and 2 x full size Tudor Submariners (one acrylic crystal and one sapphire).

PS - not sure about the exact number but Mike has around 23 Sub 1680's!

I currently have 2 GMTs and was contemplating a third today that was a pretty good deal (just think; I'd never have to swap bezels again).

Also I have the SD, LV and TT Blue Subs... yeah, I think we tend to buy what we like.

Don't listen to these guys!

Here's two LVs that are different---one's an F and one's a D

Just look at the difference in these FOUR 1680s!!

Look at the different colored inserts on these!!!

How different can these two be????

Not to mention the fact that EACH watch has a DIFFERENT serial number!!!!!

Mike, that is just crazy, I knew you were about to come and post in this thread.

I understand the other ones, but why did you buy two LVs?

Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! have an even better idea! I will buy another Sub LV. Take a Nato band and strap two LVs on it. One on the front of the wrist for local time, and one one the back of the wrist with Home or GMT time!! Would look pretty cool!

Funny thing is I did that just the other day... had to pick up the older GMT (which was being re-timed) at the RSC, and was wearing my LV Sub.

So, I flipped the sub to my right wrist and wore the GMT on the left for the rest of the day...
