Hi Rolexmax, welcome to the forum!
Please make no apologies for your English which I feel if very good in any event. That is a great vintage Rolex and I especially like the 1/5th second track markings around the perimeter of the dial. You are fortunate to live in the home country of Rolex and many fine watch making companies. Regards |

Hi Rolexmax and welcome to TRF. That's a beautiful watch you have there. What more can you tell us about it like how did you acquire it and what history do you know about it? Don't worry about your english, it's better than my Swiss

The ref. 4467 is the first DateJust reference, born in 1945, the first watch with date in a window. The first 100 exemplares was numbered betwenn the lugs at 6 . The mouvement is the A290, sol called big-bubble or "ovettone" I buy it some years ago from a private! In the picture with is Gay&Frères jubilé band! OFFICIALY in red....but very difficulty to see! Great vintage piece and now quite a rare watch the Granddaddy to the DJ.But myself always thought when the first DJ was launched late 1945 it had the Cal 295-10 1/2"' movement, later on they called it the Cal 740.
