New Acquisition....Root-Beer

Hi Guys, I’ve coveted a root-beer for simply ages, finally got my hands on one yesterday.

2001 with a P serial, gonna enjoy it for a few weeks & maybe get it serviced as it’s overdue.

Its running strong (3 secs overnight) & I absolutely love it, the dial is so rich & perfect for Autumn.

Here’s some quick pics

Always loved the Rootbeer on that bracelet.

Almost got one few years back but the guy selling it wanted too much for it.

Better luck next time for me.

Congrats on the Rootbeer

Beauty Chris. Where did you get that piece? I've wondered whether I should add a Turdmaster to me collection...

Hi Anders, I bought the R B from Milton's , 100% good guys.

Had a nice day-trip to Liverpool, a wander around on a beautiful sunny day, a beer in The Cavern & home on the train with that beauty in my pocket

I love the root beer. I am a big Florida State fan, and the colors on your watch are perfect. They are hard to find with a bezel that pristine that hasn't faded at all. Congratulations!

I bought one in '85 on a 14k Jubilee bracelet for £1399($2100). Tried to sell it in '94 and no one was interested, eventually sold it for £850($1275). They are a lovely watch, my wife went mad i sold it (to pay a bill). I literally gave that watch away but the interest in Rolex watches wasn't the same as it is today. If only i had it today.
