Is the growing popularity of the EX2 making a difference.....
I am wondering, last couple of months the EX2 is winning territory.
If you have to choose between the last series EX2 (black or white) and the last series old SubDate (16610) what will it be?

I love my Explorer II (white), but against the Sub, its powers are not as strong.

Between the two, I would opt for the submariner. Although I am fond of the polar exp 2.

Although I am wearing a Submariner as I write this, my reply was Explorer II without a doubt!

I love the Sub., but if I had to choose for my purposes the EXP II would be the better watch. I'd go with the black dial.

I wouldn't think the Exp II is winning any territory though you might find differently since there is no indication in the title of your post that this is a poll of Exp II v 16610.
Exp II looks to be great value, but still has to be the 16610 for me. |

Have both but if I were picking which one to buy first I would say the Sub 16610.

They're both great watches.
I'm just curious. How do you know that the Exp II is gaining in popularity?

That is why this poll could be useful because i think the EX2 was more understated in the past. I hope this gives you a correct and satisfied answer

Hi Gerardus,
If it was a real choice between one or the other, then the Sub 16610 for sure would be my first choice. However, if you did want to go for the Exp-II, the white dial would be my choice of approval. Good luck - JJ |

Exp 2
I just recently had to make this decision. The easy answer is 16570 in white and the 16610. Both!
I could only have one so I picked the 16570 because it just felt nicer on my wrist and I love the Explorer History and the clean white dial. With that being said I definately plan on adding a Sub to the collection. |

Very interesting how close the voting has become between an acknowledged icon, and a reference that I previously thought to be a sleeper.

If the Explorer II had a triplock crown, I would prefer it.
