New Job :-(
I left my old Job a few months ago and moved to a larger role in another company (my reward was that I bought myself a Rolex!) - i turned down the chance for promotion.
My previous company were dissapointed that I decided to leave after 18 months - I made a big impression and got very good feedback from the leaders and VP's. My new job is not working out as planned and I contacted the previous company who said that they were sorry that things not working out but they have moved to an advanced position with regard to filling my old job and my bosses (the one I would now prefer) .... I'm going to see my old boss in a week or so time (he is in US) and see how I would be considered. I feel bad for myself and my old company (Me leaving left them with an issue to solve ... skillset and experience) .... part of me wishes I could turn the clock back. Today I packed my Rolex up and put it away ... until I find a job that I am going to enjoy ... I dont hold up much hope with my old employer, although they did not rule anything out - I kinda caught them by surprise when I rang to enquire about the possibility of re-engagement. The MD agreed to meet with me at the end of October for dinner and a chat (he's a good guy, and said he would keep his ears open for me). I feel like a bum ..... What should I do? |
