What does TRF Mean to You?

Ladies and Gents it has just recently dawned on me that I am addicted to this site (will pledge soon). I initially came here to research GMT models. I quietly studied posts from Mike (moderator) and JJ (116713 analysis) before I decided to sign up in 2009. I thought I would have been one and out after acquiring the 116710 from DavidSW, however, after seeing offerings from the likes of Tony G, LawrenceB, and everyone's favorite Bodybump, everything went downhill for me from there (no more AD shopping) . I have also met a great bunch of folks who have a passion for horology and have attained some spectacular pieces (Yazo, Kyle, and Chris (Zed Homme) quickly come to mind)... Enough of my rambling I am interested in hearing/reading what attracts YOU to TRF!!! Apologies if a thread like this has started already. Thanks in advance all!

I've been a part of a few online communities in the past and nothing, I mean NOTHING, compares to TRF. Like you mention Sam, the amount of knowledge and the willingness of members to help out (both on the boards and behind the scenes) is astounding. I've NEVER seen that anywhere - online and off. TRF is a pretty amazing community and like you I am addicted bro!!

BTW thanks for the shout out in your 1st post!!

It's the best of everything

Knowledgeable experts

Truly dedicated hobbyists

And a sales section to top it off

The perfect combination.

Well, if it wasn't for TRF, I may not have found the DJ I've wanted for a looong time.. @ the price I was willing to do.
.
I really do enjoy this 'comradery' amongst the Rolex community.. for their insite, knowledge, and expertice, and for those who know 'what is what'...when it comes to a classic time piece...
many thanks...

Prior to joining TRF, the thought of owning more than one Rolex had never crossed my mind despite having a 16613 for 18 years. I knew literally nothing about my watch, so I started asking embarrassingly simple questions about it. I've learned a great deal since, and I've purchased four more Rolexes from TRF sellers. I enjoy the site tremendously.

Is there a way you could have a pop-up display so we could interact live with JJ? I think it would be great to do an aficionado-of-the-week and have them live. IMHO. TRF Rocks!

Speaking of myself and I'm going to be honest here,
I joined TRF Just for business at first, thinking it's another good place to make few extra sales here and there...
Sure enough That place turn out to be a great friendly place full of great guys that share the same interest, Not only you find the best watch related topics aslo you find general topics that are life related.
Stevo and all the Mod are the best Mods ever
I have been on other site for years before I joined TRF and still am as of today also my user name and pictures are known to everybody and they are easy to track but you can see that I have never posted a single reply to any subject on none of those forum...I go there list my watches and log off
VS here on TRF I reply to tons of post and I love doing that...
I met tons of great guys and I keep on doing that day after day
Love TRF

TRF is IMHO more of a family to me... I have met some great people and continue to do so... Some of my best friends are members I met here on TRF... We share a common bond and most importantly we look out for each other... You can't find that anywhere else..............

It's hard to fathom how you can have "very close" friends whom you have never met.

But TRF is like that.

I used to come to learn more about watches, now I find myself logging in to see my friends.

You're definitely one of the close friends I have on TRF. Looking forward to meeting up someday.

This weekend, though, I get to meet Bob and Bill!
