No, its real
This is Paul Duggan's website, he runs a reputable business out of Boston with a Rolex certified watchmaker. I have bought from him before and can guarantee he sells real watches from all the major makers. (I have been to his store, great location downtown!) I just dont get the logic of coating a PLATINUM BEZEL!!!! !@#%!#^ Thats like taking a Monet and redoing it to sepia WTH?

They should have left the bezel insert alone. It would have balanced out the watch better.
But I still wouldn't wear it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,guys....
I'm sort of curious about how the DLC works on top of the platinum, I wouldn't expect it to be particularly long lasting. |

I actually saw a DLC'd Yacht-Master that had polished numbers on the bezel and it looked pretty cool...

VERY SMALL WORLD.....So I was at Paul Duggan last week in Boston, looking at a GMT 16750.
A kid came in with a brand new Sub Ceramic in a Ross Simon bag. He previously asked me in the elavator if a Pawn Shop was in the area? I just said no. He was looking to sell the new Sub. They quickly gave him 5k for it (which I think is low). And then he started looking around at the display cases and asked to see this very exact YM. Anyways, I couldn't help but tell him tactfully, "it didn't come from Rolex like that you know". He looked at me, and handed it back. I don't think the sales person was happy with me. |

I like the DLC version of the Migauss GV. It makes the watch much more macho compared to the polished bezel and PCL...
But on the YM, one word" "YUCK"... It destroys the beauty of the YM immediately.

I actually went to his shop to take a look. It's not my type of watch but it doesn't look as bad as in the pics.

I would say that is the most ugliest Rolex watch I've ever seen.
Why would someone do that to a great looking watch?

Well, some people think different and actually pay extra for it. Check out http://www.discoverprohunter.com/ for example.
