DSSD atfer 6-months = :) :) :)!!!

Well I just eclipsed the six month mark for ownership of this incredible time piece. I have to say that I continue to love it more as the days go by!! The comfort of this watch for its size is truly amazing, and i do not even notice the weight or height any more. I believe that this will be a keeper for many years to come. Anyone on the fence, small wrists or not should really take a look and try one on before making a decision. For the money I still believe there is no better watch made, when you consider all the engineering that went into its production, and the improvements over the previous model. I am a watch lover thru & thru, and accept all brands and complications. However, I have never owned a watch that has completely made me forget about all other said watches like this one!!!

I just took off my Deepsea after several weeks of every day use (if not a month or two) and it was such a good feeling to put on the SD 16600 again! The Deepsea might have superior engineering, better bracelet, more depth rating, bigger/badder etc but the SD is just such a magical watch!

Simply couldn't agree more with you! The DSSD is a timepiece of great character and distinction I think, that will only grow in overall stature and significance with time. The legendary heritage and renowned lineage of the SeaDweller continues unabated with this puppy for sure!

It's been four (4) months already here as my daily beater. But I'm continued to be totally blown away by its overall style, appearance, engineering and technical brilliance and deepsea mystique. Talk about awesome presence on a wrist! Never mind (again) that I don't even know how to swim!!!

Yes, congrats and continue to enjoy! Doesn't sound very hard to do at all! Simply put, the DSSD, though unique to this market segment and very specialized, is a model certainly worthy for continued inclusion in the esteemed Rolex lineup. Oh yeah!!!!! :dude :

My own DSSD, after four months of ownership, tracks amazingly close to my bedroom Atomic Clock, easily within COSC chronometer standards. Yes, the 3135 movement is both robust and durable enough for the job.

The in-house caliber 3135 is one of the most sturdy and accurate
automatic movements available. The balance bridge (whose
height can be adjusted with two knurled nuts), the red anodized
reversing wheels and the relative thickness of the movement ensure
ruggedness and longevity.

The watch has a free-sprung balance with regulating screws. The hairspring is made of Parachrom, which is produced by fusing the metals niobium
and zirconium. Parachrom has proven to be resistant to magnetic
fields and shocks. Rolex also incorporates oils it has developed
itself for specific movement components.

Though hidden beneath the metal caseback, the movement
also has much to offer visually: rhodium-plated and perlage finishes
on the bridges, rotor and automatic bridge; a sunburst finish
on some of the wheels; beveled and polished edges and polished
screw heads.

On the timing machine, the Deepsea showed rate results that
were good, though not perfect. The average deviation was only
+1.2 seconds per day. The greatest difference between all the positions
was six seconds.

The rate of -2 seconds per day in the “crown left” position, however, meant a deduction of a couple of points from our score. The actual results with the watch on the wrist were better than the results on the timing machine: the
Deepsea ran less than one second fast per day!!!
