No, it's perfect. Try resting it crown up at night, it might gain even less than a second in a day. Mine does.

Btw, 1 second in a day is remarkable for a mechanical watch, calculating to 99.998843% accuracy.

1 sec per day is great. My Exp II is one second per week.(Just lucky I guess) My SeaDweller is about 3 sec per day
and my Airking is 6 sec/day.

Well, chronometer ratings mean the watch should keep an average of +6/-4 seconds per day - to be gaining an average of less than a second a day is truly superb!
