They do appear to be John's pics from another website
John Batista is a respected seller of Panerai and other fine watches and lives in South Florida - he's also a friend of mine. John mostly posts on a couple other well-known websites. It's possible that this ebay seller purchased the watch from John and is now reselling or he may actually be a scammer - not sure. In any case, I will send John an email and let him know about the ebay listing.

Actually, the pics were posted here too...
Seems the watch was listed for sale here at one point. At any rate, this ebay seller has listed the watch at a buy-it-now price that seems inconsistent with what the watch might normally sell for - i.e. it appears to be too low a price meaning a possible scam or just someone who's really generous...

Received an email from John - apparently this ebay user has used his pics on other sites as well, so John will be contacting ebay to have the listing removed. It's amazing how many scammers are out there!!
