1655 on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Explorer-I...ht_1872wt_1077
Dial seems questionable. Coronet is of the later rounded top style rather than pointy style in Mk 1-3, yet marked "T Swiss T" at base. Also the "T"'s appear inside minute mark rather than just outside. Finally the position of " L "in Rolex seems off. Well known seller so other opinions would be helpful. |

seller demesyfinewatches
Something does not seem right with this listing, but I am not sure of any possible dial variations at this time. Below is a known good example of a 7M for comparison (not my picture), and its the only variation I can find for around this period. Anyone?? |

We have a winner gentlemen. The dial is not genuine. Great posts.

The thing is, Demesey probably do not even know they have a Rolex with a counterfeit dial, and they are not going to want to ditch a listing for a $13k watch.
With the feedback that Demesey have its not going to be easy having their listing pulled given the quality of the fake. We can but try. |

Great catch Pablo.... no doubt in my mind either - that is not an original dial.
