Seller says "I am not sure if it is a real Rolex or not".
To paraphrase the seller's statemnent: "I am uncertain whether or not I am violating Ebay's policies by offering contraband merchandise". It's obvious the seller is actually saying "If I am found out please don't suspend or ban me because I didn't know any better". Too bad couching one's words that way betrays the fact the seller is perfectly aware of what they're offering and deliberately trying to circumvent Ebay's policy. Anyone who really doesn't know whether or not their Rolex is genuine would almost certainly risk $50-$100 on an appraisal for a huge potential upswing in price rather than offer to end their auction for 1/30 to 1/40 of the item's value - but then again I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I? ;) Let's hope the listing is pulled before this seller hooks a sucker. |
