Should I check for water resistance yearly?

I don't dive or go into the pool at all with my SD (I probably should). However, I do wash my bracelet and watch in soap as recommended by many here on the forum. Is it still necessary to get pressure testing done yearly? The only exposure to water would be under the sick or the occasional shower. Thanks in advance all!!!

Not necessary at all. Just make sure the crown is closed before washing or submersing in water. Other than that, have it serviced every 5 - 6 years and all should be well.

Thanks for replying to my post. Just didn't want to do anything that might get the movement wet. If I never dive or jump in the pool would I be okay without the pressure testing for longer than the 5-6 years? Not sure If I plan on servicing every 5 years. Do you think the seals and rings will become vulnerable to failure even in the sink or shower? Thanks again!

Short answer no in your case as long as you have normal routine service at 5-7 years.

I have heard a couple of watchmakers at AD's say that every 2 yrs. if you dive in seawater often, otherwise every 3 - 5 yrs. under normal conditions.

Not necessary--do it when you do your normal service--5 to 7 years.
