Rolex Day-Date

How is it that when I am not wearing this watch, I am totally not thinking about anymore watches. I actually feel like I have enough of them in my current collection. However, every time I put on my YG Day Date, I immediately approach my wife about getting funds to get the WG version? Only one problem, I have put the YG Day-Date on and approached her I don't know how many times and I still do not have the WG version on my winders yet.

Sounds like either she will give in one day... or you'll be selling that YG Day Date to end the agony. ;-)

If it were me personally and I found a WG DD for a good price and wanted it, Im buying it. Its as simple as that.

Unless your wife is wealthy or makes the majority of the money in the household, or it is actually "her" money to begin with then I don't see why anyone would ask "permission" for funds to purchase something they desire.

I mean don't spend the mortgage money or the kid's college funds on a Day Date of course, but beyond that buy it if you want it and have the funds to spare. Life is too short.

The only women I ever asked permission was my mother.

It just so happens, my wife owns 51% of the family business. I actually work for her. Not my first choice of a business arrangement, but it was the only way to qualify as a woman owned business for Federal Government contracts.

Here's a crappy pic of my YG Day-Date. Sorry it is from my iPhone. I really don't have a good camera to produce better pics at this time. I am not even any good at posting pics on this Message Board. I know someone said previously how to do it but I can't seem to get it.

Why, do you think it would be a waste to get a WG watch?

Most folks like their metals to match, so I was assuming you have a WG ring or something like that driving your desire. I'd stick with the YG if it were me.

Ok thanks for advice, I never really gave that a thought. Let me ask you a question, keeping that same thought about matching metals, when Rolex makes the two-tone bracelets, is that considered matching or would some people view that as clashing?

YG seems to work with your skin tone. Not everyone can pull that off.

I think two-tone is a good way to match either and tie them together, although I've read opinions in fashion rags that insist they all be the same.

I used to purposefully get everything two-tone, so it all matched anyway!
