I would pass on this one simply because if you are going to pay $7700 as it stand right now you could add couple of hundred more and buy one from TRUSTED SELLER here on TRF and save your self a big headache ,just my 0.02.

I use ebay a lot, and I don't trust anyone with 0 feedback, regardless of what the product is and what price they are offering it at.

Depends on several factors. I purchased a GMT II C TT from a seller that only had (18).
He provided a few more pictures and a copy of the certificate with the AD name in Switzerland. I contacted that to confirm a GMT II TT was sold on that day. They wouldn't confirm the buyer’s name (confidentiality) but they confirmed a GMT II was sold on that day with the same serial #. I felt comfortable after a little detective work. Although, you must always use common sense and BE CAREFUL! |

The auction ended with a 0 feedback person winning. As said above, everyone starts at 0. On the contrary a person with a lot of + feedback may just be waiting for the feedback.
I would say that walkway if the item is available elsewhere, just wait for your next chance. There are plenty of opportunities to buy a Daytona. |

Although it is important to have possitive feedback for high dollar items
at e-Bay...0 feedback is where we all started, in this case 0 feedback for the seller and 0 feedback for the buyer seems suspect to me. If you want the watch write and tell him that you are willing to pay cash for a face to face meeting in his watchmaker's premises, the one who wants 150 bucks to check that the watch was returned in the condition it was send before.. Also do not forget to ask him to buy you a return ticket into Dallas-Fort worth... True story I had 0 feedback at e-Bay or near 0 and I was selling a used platinum president The buyer (who is a good friend of mine now) offered a return ticket to Dallas and a meeting in the airline lounge...if the watch checked out he would have paid me cash right there and then-guess what...I sold it.. |
