When a simple regulation is not so simple...

My Explorer II which I purchased new in Sept 06 has been running very fast the last few months, more than a minute a week. For the First 3 months or so it ran almost spot on, maybe 1 sec a day fast. Anyhow, I work 3 blocks from the Beverly Hills RSC so I bring it in today. I hand the lady my watch and the warranty certificate. She says, 'Where did you get that watch?' Sigh. I told her that info was on the cert she could barely give me the time of day. She asks me what is wrong, I tell her it is running too fast, like a minute a week or so. She says, 'OK, I'll be right back'. She comes back and says the watch master put it on a device and it is only running +6 seconds a day and that it is within COSC specs. Sigh. I tell her it is unacceptable and that it is running faster than +6 seconds a day. She accepts the watch and tells me it will be finished tomorrow and I say, 'Great'!

Well, an hour later I get a call stating that there is something wrong with my movement and they have to disassemble the whole thing to see what is wrong with it... she said at least a few weeks. So first she tries to tell me the watch is fine, then she tells me it's broken... anyone else have something like this happen to them?

The watch has never been dropped or abused so I just don't get it. Anyway, I'll have to suffer with this until it's back, good thing it at least is COSC
