As TTG mentioned, if close enough you could always ask if local pick-up is an option (as opposed to shipping). Most honest sellers wouldn't mind that, as it's usually a win-win: You avoid shipping fees/waiting, and pay the seller in cash saving him on Paypal fees.

All good advice! If you are still considering the watch, contact eBay and Paypal and see if in the UK, it is like in the US, where with sellers like that with very little feedback, PayPal holds the funds until the buyer posts positive feedback to the seller. If the same in the UK, would potentially afford you more protection.

Now I understand why the eBay seller I saw who had a 50th Sub was listed as paypal but wrote that he would accept CASH Only. Scammers......... I prefer to purchase my Rolex Watches from Authorized Dealers when New or truly reputable sellers when used or vintage.
