UK members.. Milgauss action

If anyone is keen, Goldsmiths in Canary Wharf has the trio up for grabs. That lovely GV was winking at me this morning, looks great sitting between the white and black dial models

So.......By the end of this afternoon, will the triplets still be together, or will the white dial and black dial be missing their green brother?

An AD also had all three in Westfield (white city) Saturday just gone.

Think it's an Ernest Jones ! Can't remember I only managed to sneak a look while the wife wasn't looking... We were out as I was spoiling her shopping for her birthday :-)

EJ, LD and FH all look the same to me so could never remember which one.

But yeah both EJ and Time Squared had a good collection of Rolex's also eyed up a couple of nice JLC's :-)

Wasn't too happy with the way I was treated by TS last time I was there so was only window shopping.

Omega had some nice pieces on display.

yeah i know what you mean about those TS sales people. it can be abit of hit and miss at times...

last time (a good few months ago) we were there, one of the senior sales guys was very friendly and sat us down and went through quite abit of Rolex watches. at the end the wifey tried on a RG Daytona and she decided that it was "too bling" for her to wear daily

Cheers.

I'm not sure I can really answer that - a bit like choosing a favourite child (not that I have any kids - wouldn't be able to afford watches if I did - plus I prefer watches, they're quieter).

If I could only have one it would be the GV - for the green glass.

The white however is quite something - the white is so .... white, and the orange works - I thought I would end up flippping it, but I really like it. If I only had one watch it probably wouldn't be this, but as part of a rotation it's great.

The black (or more accurately charcoal) is the most balanced one - I like the matt dial, the consistent coloured plots are nicer than the mixed colours on the GV, and it's just a nice clean, simple watch - another candidate if I could only have the one.

So I guess in order the favourite would be the GV, then the black, then the white. Perhaps green glass on the black would be the ideal.....?

Excellent photo Gladius

Once you get the GV the natural progression is to then get white

I think you are right, when I purchased mine in 2008 I have the choice of the GV or the Black, but went for ther Black, all together I think the look is more to my taste, but with a green glass it might just add something, the Milgauss 'crossbreed'.

Yes...that GV is very cool. that watch and a SS Daytona would be the last Rolexes I would ever want.

Yeah...right. Hahahahah!
