I guess it is the small oddity of the II that makes it priced so high, someone might be paying for the uniqueness but I would not go for it.

OMG MSRP?! LOL
Come on, you guys are so spoiled! You're shocked that someone dared to sell a Rolex for close to MSRP? How dare he!

Because it has the internet hyped 3186 in it, mainly hyped from sellers. I would have never paid that price for a old GMT just for some minor tweaks and a new in house hairspring, waste of money IMHO.

Agreed, where's the justification on the premium... I wonder what Orchi would say

Question, isn't there a two day waiting period before one can bump an ad?

That still doesnt make any sense, just cause someone else has one for even more dough fs...

At least Oscars looks new, the other one's strap was poorly re-brushed...

So take $50 off for a polish at the watchmaker. Still less than $7K for the same watch.

Remember that a watch is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.. nothing more or less than that...

No offence Tony, but people are crazy to think that these should have any premium. There have been many changes to the GMT line over the years, and you don't see them getting the bs internet hype that the last couple of serials got over a minor tweak to the movement. Heck, the GMT's have have different case sizes, different fonts, different lume materials, and a few tweaks to the movement, but since it was the end of the line for the classic GMT's before the ceramic move, people think these are the next Comex subs, it's silly.

Buyers that are paying a premium like that better wear the thing ever day of their life, because they will never get the money they paid out of it for decades.

I just read the "pre-up" thread, and this is just mind boggling that peeps pay this. And who's to say this was a limited run thats been outfitted with this mvmt; ROLEX doesnt release these numbers, thats just cookee talk !

In fact, I'm kind of mad I am being put on the spot here. You got any evidence I didn't sell the watch? Go to minus4plus6.com and educate yourself on the premium being put on a 3186 and its rarity compared to a 3185 GMT. The condition of the watch is less than Oscar's, which is why I put those pictures there: for the buyer to see! You need to show some more respect for fellow members and not start targeting people just because something is out of the realm of your expertise. Did you buy my watch? Last I checked it was a top seller here who sealed the deal with me. Close your mouth.
