Rolex Milgauss

Hi, My wife want is looking to get me a Rolex Milgauss as my first Rolex. Went to my local AD and they want $7,075 no discount. Has anyone able to purchase this at an AD under MSRP? This is the GV version and the AD said it is hard to find? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what's the situation in the U.S. I got mine in August in Hong Kong and was able to get a 10% discount.

Two different ADs offered 20% off to me upon first inquiry, never having met previously.

No long term relationships, no snide remarks, no nothin' and while unshaven, in dirty bluejeans and work shirts.

I got both models I was looking at, but from great internet WIS sellers at better rates.

First of all welcome to TRF. You'll love it here.

I would say that you should expect no discount or no more than 10%. Now if you buy from a gray dealer or some of the trusted sellers here on TRF it will be a different story.

Oscar (bodybump), DavidSW and Mosco are some of the top guys when it comes to BNIB.

Not really hard to find anymore and you should be able to get some discount. I would keep looking. Good luck, they are great watches.

Plenty of discount to be had out there, move on to the next AD. There are some large chain AD's that will not offer discounts, but there are lots of other smaller AD's that will give you a great deal, best of luck.

I was offered 10% off a GV by an AD in Sydney.

That said, one of the other ADs in Sydney, who's had a somewhat spotty history with TRF members, also pulled the difficult to get hold of routine when I know they were getting in at least one a month.

If you want to go with an AD, you'll need to do some legwork and ask around. They aren't all created equal.

It's not that hard to find a GV these days so you should be able to get some kind of discount.

Not sure if some ADs hold back on discounts during the festive season though but I would think normally you should get around 10%.

Head out of the city and avoid the large chains. Authorized dealers (AD's) in smaller communities tend to discount. I'd shop around until you find an AD willing to do at least 10%.

Not that I don't trust any of the sellers here. But I rather buy from an AD. The lowest I can get is $6825 no tax. I live in Mass and there arent that many AD around, and I don't feel like driving 5 hrs for a watch. So I'll probably end up buying around my area. I will post some pics after. Thanks for everyone's help....

No tax from my AD. Could not get a discount but I got a bunch of other stuff - probably equaling 10% discount. Another AD that I walked into here in Illinois quoted 10% discount with cash payment.

They are still an allocation watch--AD can't order them. With that said--you should be able to get a discount. I personally would buy one from a trusted seller LNIB and save the money.
